Does your soap have lye in it?
Yes and No! You can not make soap without using lye. However, if the soap is made correctly, allowed to cure properly and for the prescribed amount of time, the soap will no longer contain lye! So....yes, I do use lye to make my soap (everybody does!) but by the time it goes on my shelves to sell, there is no lye left in my soap.
